Cellulite Solutions

Emmet Louis Posted: October 25, 2012

If you have it you know all about it so I’ll spare the description, we’ve all heard it before and I know most people are more interested in the solutions. So below follows my solutions to ridding yourself of the dreaded orange peel.

First off cellulite is fat cells so by losing body fat we’ll reduce the appearance of cellulite, please note I said fat not weight. Sometimes successful dieting you lose very little weight, an example of which is one of my clients went from 33% body fat to 23% but only lost 1kg in scale weight, she dropped from a big 14 all over to a 10 on top and 12 on her legs. Huge visual change not a big change in weight. So my first big piece of advice is aim to lose body fat not bodyweight, if you don’t know your body fat percentage Ask myself or one of the Vpt’s in your gym to measure it they’ll be more than happy to help.

What follows below is the icing on the cake in cellulite reduction if you’re still eating like a slob doing the stuff below will have NO effect and you’ll be wasting your time. If you’re on a smart diet and training properly then my suggestions will help clear your cellulite up.

Step one reduce stress levels: Reducing stress levels will go a long way to helping you lose fat, not sleeping 8 hours a night go to bed earlier the crap they’re showing TV isn’t worth it, Can’t sleep turn off electronics and laptops and get into a dim room reading for an hour before bed. Cut out tea and coffee after 1600.

Step two detoxify the Liver: There’s a lot of science beyond the scope of the article for these recommendations, if you really need to know it email me and I’ll explain. Upon waking the juice of half a lemon or one lime in 500ml of hot water 250ml of cranberry juice mixed in one liter of water drank throughout the day. When I say cranberry juice I mean 100% Cranberry juice, not any mixed with other juices or some concentrated juice with sugars etc.

Step three increase blood flow to the area: You need to get the blood circulating in the area this is best accomplished by using exercises that target the area. I recommend barbell hip thrusts, reverse lunges, squats and high step ups. And don’t be afraid of using a good bit of weight. A good rep scheme would be 4-5 sets of 8-10 reps with a weight you can only lift 12 times.

Steps four remove excess estrogen: First off add to your daily diet, two fist size portions of either broccoli, red cabbage or brussell sprouts, more is better. Also increase the amount of insoluble fibre in your diet, I recommend 1 level tablespoon of psylium husk before bed; other acceptable substitutes would be a small bowl of bran flakes.

As stated above the tips given here are the icing on the cake of a successful lifestyle plan.
