Biggest fat loss mistakes - Week 3
To finish off the " Biggest fat lost mistakes chapter", I will detail what i believe is a mistake most people make at some point, when going to the gym.....
Believing working abs will make you loose belly fat ( idea that you can spot reduce fat)!!
“Spot reduction refers to the belief, long viewed as a myth, that fat can be targeted for reduction from a specific area of the body. There is a common view, although many people believe that view is misguided, that it is possible to achieve spot reduction through exercise of specific muscles in the desired area, such as exercising the abdominal muscles in an effort to lose weight in or around one’s midsection. Advertisers play on this concept when advertising exercise-related products to gullible people”
Lets get this cleared up, You cannot spot reduce fat. There is a lot of misinformation out there, the supplement market is filled with wrong information to make sales, it has gotten out of control. Doing 1million crunches isn’t going to get you any closer to loosing the gut. Think about it, if you could spot reduce fat it would look pretty odd. People would be walking around with ripped abs, with a fat ass and legs. It would look silly. Overall body fat must be reduced to lose fat in any particular area.
When combined with a reduced-calorie diet, you may be able to burn fat by lifting weights. One particularly effective strategy is performing compound exercises As the bodybuilding website www.bodybuildng.com notes, compound exercises are multijoint movements, requiring different muscle groups to work to produce a movement of more than one joint. compound exercise burn fat as they require more energy expenditure than isolation exercises. Compound exercises burn more calories and fat because the use of many muscle groups puts increased stress on your body.
When combined, my last 3 blog posts are individual chapters of my Ebook “ biggest fat loss mistakes”, Hopefully this brief eBook has given you some knowledge on how to actually use that stubborn fat.
